Support

bet365 is listed in the iGaming Ontario register under Hillside (International Sports) ENC for both casino and sports betting. It documents its Ontario product better than any operator we have reviewed here – published Same Game Parlay ceilings, published Cash Out failure conditions, and Sub On Play On, which rolls a soccer player bet over to the substitute at unchanged odds and settles within 15 minutes. The cashier is equally explicit: seven deposit routes, six payout routes, every limit in Canadian dollars, with Apple Pay clearing instantly. What it will not tell you is its own licence number – nowhere in the Ontario help centre does one appear – and there is no phone line and no public email address.

How We Checked bet365

This review is built on primary sources. bet365 geo-blocks its Ontario site, so we opened it from a Canadian connection and worked through the operator’s own documentation: the Ontario help centre at help.on.bet365.ca, with the province selector set to Canada – Ontario and the currency to CAD.

  • Every page we quote carries bet365’s own banner, “You are currently viewing our Canada – Ontario content” – so these are the Ontario terms, not the global ones.
  • Every limit, minimum, maximum and processing time in the payment tables below is read straight from bet365’s Ontario cashier documentation, in Canadian dollars.
  • The legal position was checked against the public iGaming Ontario register of operators and against the AGCO’s own iAGCO licence records.
  • App versions, publishers, ratings and release dates come from Apple’s public app listings for Canada.

Is bet365 Legal in Ontario?

Yes. bet365 appears in the public iGaming Ontario register of operators under the legal entity Hillside (International Sports) ENC, with www.on.bet365.ca as its registered gaming site and both Casino and Sports Betting listed as authorised categories.

Two things are worth knowing beyond that one-line answer.

First, bet365 does not publish its registration number anywhere in its Ontario help centre. We read the whole public library, including the contact page. There is no licence number, no issue date and no expiry date. Compare that with Betano, which prints its licence number and both dates in the footer of every page, or with Sports Interaction, which states its number in the opening clause of its terms.

Second, the number that circulates on third-party sites is out of date. The iAGCO record for OPIG1232411 – issued to Hillside (International Sports) ENC and Hillside (International Gaming) ENC on 5 March 2024, expiring 3 April 2026, for the gaming site www.on.bet365.ca – is marked Closed. That does not mean bet365 is operating unlawfully: the brand remains listed in the live iGaming Ontario register, which is the authoritative list of operators with an agreement in place. It does mean that any review quoting OPIG1232411 as bet365’s current Ontario licence is quoting a dead record.

The provincial rules apply as usual. You must be 19 or older and physically inside Ontario, and bet365 publishes a dedicated help article on why your location can restrict your gambling.

bet365 Sports Betting

bet365 runs its own sportsbook, and the Ontario help centre documents three features in enough detail to judge them properly. Each of them carries conditions that are not obvious from the marketing.

Cash Out

Cash Out lets you settle a bet early on selected events and markets, pre-match and live, on both straight bets and parlays. The amount is calculated from the current odds on your selection, your stake and the odds you originally took, and it is shown to you before you confirm.

Three conditions matter more than the feature itself.

  • It is final. “You will not be able to reinstate a bet once it has been cashed out.”
  • It can fail mid-request. bet365 warns of a slight delay when you request a Cash Out; if the odds move or a market is suspended in that window, the request is refused rather than repriced.
  • It disappears with live coverage. If an event has no live coverage, or coverage stops, Cash Out becomes unavailable from the start of the event – and it goes again as soon as live coverage ends.

Same Game Parlay and SGP+: The Published Ceilings

Most books are vague about how far you can push a same-game bet. bet365 publishes hard numbers.

Same Game Parlay rule What bet365 publishes
Maximum selections 12 per Same Game Parlay
Maximum players 6 per team, per event
SGP+ Combines popular markets across several events in one bet
Inside a parlay Allowed, provided the other legs are not from the same fixture
Void player market Pre-match player markets recalculate automatically
Void other market The entire SGP is void or push

The distinction in those last two rows is the one that costs people money. A voided player market is absorbed and the bet is recalculated; a voided market of any other kind takes the whole slip with it.

Sub On Play On: Your Bet Follows the Substitute

This is bet365’s best feature in Ontario and the one we would actually change our behaviour for.

Place a pre-match single or parlay on a selected soccer player market carrying the Sub On Play On icon, and if your player is substituted, the bet rolls over to their replacement with no change in odds. Same Game Parlays qualify too. If the substitute is himself substituted, the bet carries on with the next player.

bet365’s own worked example: you back Player A to score 2 or more goals; A scores one and is replaced by Player B, who scores one; the bet is settled as a winner.

bet365 Ontario help centre page explaining the Sub On Play On soccer feature for substituted players
Sub On Play On, documented on bet365’s Ontario help centre.

Three qualifications, all published:

  • When several players are substituted at once, the reference player is decided by the order they enter the field, as determined by Podium – formerly the Press Association – and shown on your bet slip.
  • bet365 aims to settle qualifying bets and credit the account within 15 minutes of the selection winning.
  • It does not apply if the outcome was already determined before the substitution, and it does not apply at all if you cashed the bet out first.

That last point is a genuine trade-off rather than small print: cashing out a Sub On Play On bet destroys the very protection you took it for.

The Casino, and the One Supplier It Names

bet365 runs its own platform rather than licensing a third-party sportsbook, and the casino is just as closed. The Ontario lobby will let you search by studio – the search box reads “Search for Game or by Provider” – but the tiles themselves carry no studio name, so the catalogue is indexed by supplier without ever telling you who the supplier is. The one it names outright is Evoplay, given its own shelf under the banner “Just landed – our newest game provider”. Everything else on the Ontario front page is sorted by category rather than by maker: a Top 10 rail labelled “Most popular games in Ontario”, a Jackpot 365 row showing the Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze pots with the date each was last won, and an “Only At bet365” shelf of exclusives. We could name more studios by recognising game titles, but that would be guesswork dressed as reporting, so we have not.
The subdomains bet365 declared to the regulator cover the full product range – casino, live, games, poker, streaming and responsiblegambling, all under .on.bet365.ca – and three separate Ontario apps are registered: bet365 – Sports, bet365 – Casino ON and bet365 – Live Casino ON.

Payment Methods

The Ontario cashier is bet365’s strongest suit. Seven ways in, six ways out, every limit published in Canadian dollars, with the country selector fixed on Canada – Ontario.

Seven Ways In

Deposit method Time Min – Max
Interac Instant $10 – $10,000
MastercardVisa DebitDebit Instant $10 – $50,000
MastercardVisaCredit Instant $10 – $50,000
Apple Pay Instant $10 – $50,000
Google Pay Instant $10 – $10,000
PayPal Instant $40 – $12,500
paysafecard Instant $10 – $400

Every deposit route is instant, and the floor is $10 on everything except PayPal. Two entries deserve a second look. PayPal asks for $40 minimum – four times the floor of every other method, and the highest opening deposit we have recorded at an Ontario book. And paysafecard is capped at $400, which makes it a small-stakes option rather than a real funding route.

Withdrawals: Apple Pay Is the Only Instant Route

Withdrawal method Time Min – Max
Apple Pay Instant $10 – $40,000
Interac 1-4 hours $10 – $10,000
MastercardVisa 1-4 hours $10 – $40,000
PayPal 1-4 hours $20 – $12,500
Wire TransferWire Up to 12 hours $10 – $25,000

Read against the deposit table, four asymmetries stand out:

  • Apple Pay is the only instant payout in the entire cashier – everything else takes hours.
  • PayPal’s minimum inverts: $40 to deposit, but only $20 to withdraw.
  • Google Pay and paysafecard are deposit-only. Fund with either and your money has to leave by a different route.
  • Wire Transfer is the slowest method, at a published “within 12 hours” – three times slower than Interac, despite both being bank transfers.

Every one of these figures is bet365’s own published number for Ontario, taken from the cashier documentation with the province selector applied.

The bet365 Apps

bet365 ships three separate Ontario-facing apps, published by Hillside Technology Limited. The sportsbook app uses the bundle identifier com.bet365.bet365CA – a dedicated Canadian build rather than a global one with a flag on it. The ratings count is the number to hold on to: no other book in this market is close, and a well-regarded competitor like PointsBet has fewer than two thousand.

App Rating Version Updated Size / iOS
bet365 Sports Betting 4.7 from 175,970 ratings 8.452.0 19 August 2026 45.6 MB, iOS 15+
bet365 Casino Games & Slots 4.4 from 2,658 ratings 23.67.0 20 August 2026 25.9 MB, iOS 15+
bet365 – Authenticator 1.3 from 351 ratings 8.20.0 16 February 2026 18.8 MB, iOS 14+

The sportsbook app’s 4.7 is the highest rating we have measured at any Ontario operator – above Betano’s 4.6, and far above NorthStar Bets or TonyBet. At 45.6 MB it is also strikingly light: Sports Interaction’s app is 122.7 MB.

Then there is the Authenticator, and it is a problem worth flagging. 1.3 out of 5 across 351 ratings, last updated in February 2026 – six months before the sportsbook app’s most recent release. This is the app that guards access to your account, and it is the worst-rated piece of software in this market by a wide margin.

Customer Support

Support is 24/7 and entirely written. There is a live chat available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, a webform with category selection, and social media channels on X and Facebook that bet365 also advertises as 24/7.

There is no telephone number and no public email address, and the only postal address published is Customer Services, bet365 House, Media Way, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire ST1 5SZ – in the United Kingdom, not in Ontario.

Every support channel bet365 offers Ontario players. No phone line appears anywhere.

For comparison, NorthStar Bets publishes a toll-free line answered 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you want to speak to a person about your account, bet365 is not the book for you – which is a strange gap for the operator with the most-rated app in the province.

Responsible Gambling and Deposit Limits

bet365’s deposit limits are set under Account Menu, Gaming Controls, Deposit Limits, and confirmed with your password. The published mechanics are sound.

  • Limits apply across all bet365 products at once – one deposit limit covers sportsbook and casino together, so you cannot leak into the other product.
  • Decreases take effect immediately.
  • Increases require a cooling-off period before they take effect, and sit as a pending request you can confirm or cancel.
  • Self-exclusion and self-exclusion return are documented as separate articles in the Ontario help centre.

The cross-product rule is the meaningful one. Several operators apply limits per product, which lets a capped sportsbook player carry on depositing into the casino. bet365 closes that door.

Deposit limits, applied across every bet365 product once set.

BetGuard, Ontario’s province-wide self-exclusion register, applies to every registered operator in the province, bet365 included. Registering once blocks you everywhere. The BetGuard call centre is 1-833-776-7171.

Security and Reputation

  • Listed in the iGaming Ontario register under Hillside (International Sports) ENC, for Casino and Sports Betting.
  • A dedicated Canadian app build, and by far the most-rated sportsbook app in the province – 176,037 Canadian ratings, against 71,810 for the next biggest, Betway.
  • Two-factor authentication offered through a dedicated Authenticator app, plus biometric login.
  • Deposit limits enforced across all products, with immediate decreases.
  • A cashier with published limits and times for every method, in Canadian dollars.
  • No registration number published anywhere in the Ontario help centre.
  • No telephone support and no public email address.
  • The Authenticator app – the account security tool – is rated 1.3 out of 5.

The gap between those last two blocks is the story of this operator. The betting product is documented to a standard nobody else in Ontario matches: exact parlay ceilings, exact settlement windows, exact conditions under which a feature stops working. The corporate transparency does not match it.

Final Verdict

bet365 is the most thoroughly documented sportsbook in Ontario, and the most reluctant to identify itself.

What you get is a cashier with seven deposit routes and six payout routes, all published to the dollar, with Apple Pay clearing instantly; a Same Game Parlay with printed ceilings instead of vague limits; a Cash Out whose failure conditions are stated up front; and Sub On Play On, which keeps a soccer player bet alive through a substitution at unchanged odds and settles within 15 minutes. That last feature is the strongest reason to hold an account here.

What you do not get is anyone to talk to or a licence number you can check. And the app that protects your account is rated 1.3.

Category Score Why
Legal 4.0 Registered with iGO, but publishes no licence number
Sports 4.5 Sub On Play On and published SGP ceilings
Payments 4.5 Seven methods in, six out, instant Apple Pay payouts
App 4.5 Best-rated in the province, but the Authenticator is 1.3
Support 3.0 24/7 chat, but no phone and no email at all
Responsible gambling 4.5 Limits applied across all products, decreases immediate

Overall we place bet365 at 4.5 out of 5 for Ontario bettors.

Who it suits: soccer bettors who build player parlays and want Sub On Play On, app-first bettors, and anyone who would rather read the rules than phone about them. Who it does not: anyone who needs a phone line and anyone who wants to verify a licence number before depositing.

bet365 FAQs

Alternatives to bet365

If the missing phone line or the unpublished licence number bothers you, two AGCO-registered books answer those specific complaints. Betano publishes its licence number and both licence dates on every page and offers nine payment methods with no fees in either direction, though it has no phone support either. Sports Interaction states its AGCO number, OPIG1242525, in the first clause of its terms – but its Interac withdrawals can take up to five business days, against bet365’s one to four hours. Three more of the market’s largest books have since been documented here. BetMGM publishes a phone number, and it runs an Ontario poker room besides; DraftKings is the only one with confirmed live streaming, through NFL BetVision; and FanDuel has the deepest limit tooling, though its payouts are measured in days rather than hours.
