Sportsbook only, no casino
Not published

PartySports is the Entain group’s sports-only brand in Ontario: no casino, no poker, just the sportsbook – and it publishes its AGCO licence number, OPIG1233927, in clause one of its terms. It runs the same app build as Sports Interaction, its sister brand on the same licence, with 45 times fewer users. Interac withdrawals are quoted at eight hours and no method charges a fee.

How We Checked PartySports

PartySports is the quietest of the three Entain brands licensed in Ontario, and also the most thoroughly documented: the licence, the payment terms and the betting rules are all published in the open. Everything below is sourced from those documents.

  • The legal position comes from the public iGaming Ontario register, filtered by legal entity rather than by brand name, and from the operator’s own terms and conditions.
  • The payment methods, processing times and betting rules come from the PartySports help centre at help.on.partysports.ca, read in August 2026.
  • App figures come from Apple’s and Google’s Canadian listings, checked on the same day so the comparison between sister brands is like for like.

What PartySports publishes is unusually complete for an Ontario sportsbook: the terms name the licence and the help centre prices every payment method. This review is built on those documents, read at source.

Is PartySports Legal in Ontario?

Yes. PartySports is registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and operates under an agreement with iGaming Ontario. The licensee is ElectraWorks Maple Limited, and the brand is listed in the public register for Sports Betting only.

The terms and conditions go further than the register does. They name the licence: “ElectraWorks Maple Limited is licensed and regulated by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (the ‘Regulator’) under license number OPIG1233927.”

PartySports general terms and conditions page dated 21 April 2026 in the operator help centre
The terms carry their own amendment date in the heading – 21 April 2026 – which is more than most operators offer.
When we reviewed Bally Bet we called it the only Ontario operator that hands you a registration number without being asked. That was true of footers. It is not true of the province as a whole: PartySports puts its number in clause one of its terms. If you want to check an Ontario licence against a specific registration rather than a brand name, there are at least two operators who let you.

The corporate picture is unusually explicit for this market. The licensee is a London company – 3rd Floor, One New Change, EC4M 9AF, registered in England under number 01605615. Your money, though, is handled closer to home: the terms name Entain Operations Canada Limited of 1565 Carling Avenue, Suite 400, Ottawa, an Ontario-registered company under number 699682-5, as the provider of payment services on the licence holder’s behalf.

The minimum age is 19, and the complaints route is split the way the regulator intends: iGaming Ontario for transaction and service disputes, the AGCO for responsible gambling, advertising standards and game integrity.

The Same Sportsbook as Sports Interaction

This is the fact that shapes everything else about PartySports, and it is not one the brand advertises.

ElectraWorks Maple Limited holds a single Ontario licence covering five brands, and it has split its products between them rather than putting everything under one roof:

Brand Registered for What that means in practice
PartySports Sports Betting Sportsbook only – there is no casino behind this brand
PartyCasino Casino The slots and tables live here, on a separate site
PartyPoker Poker Poker only, again on its own domain
bwin Casino, Poker, Sports Betting The one brand in the group with all three
Sports Interaction Casino, Sports Betting The group’s Canadian flagship, same licence

So if you open a PartySports account expecting to move between a bet and a blackjack table, you cannot – not on this brand. You would need a separate account at PartyCasino, and the group’s own Sports Interaction offers both under one login while sitting on the very same Ontario licence.

The apps make the relationship impossible to miss. Checked on the same August 2026 morning, PartySports, bwin Ontario and Sports Interaction were all running version 26.08.04 on the Canadian App Store. Same build, same release cycle, same underlying sportsbook. What differs is how many people use them:

Brand (same licence) iOS version iOS rating iOS ratings count
Sports Interaction 26.08.04 4.5 9245
PartySports 26.08.04 4.5 206
bwin Ontario 26.08.04 4.4 181

Sports Interaction has 45 times the rated user base of PartySports on identical software. Read that as reassurance rather than as a warning: the product you get at PartySports has been hardened by a far larger crowd than its own numbers suggest. But it also tells you where Entain puts its Canadian marketing money, and it is not here.

PartySports Sports Betting

The bet types are the full Entain catalogue rather than a cut-down provincial version, and the help centre documents each one with placement instructions. Singles, doubles, trebles and accumulators are all there, alongside the structures that casual books tend to drop:

  • System bets – combinations that still return if some selections lose, with the full permutation table published.
  • Each Way – two bets in one, to win and to place, with the place terms varying by event.
  • Bankers – a selection carried through every combination of a system bet.
  • Handicaps, 2Way and 3Way markets, and head-to-head betting.
  • Ante post betting on outright markets well before the event.
PartySports help centre listing its bet types, from single and multi to system, handicap and banker bets
Every bet type explained in the open, before an account exists: system bets, handicaps, Head-to-Head, 3Way, 2Way and bankers.

The in-play tooling is where the group’s scale shows. PartySports publishes standalone terms for Cash Out and for Auto and Notify Cash Out, for Edit My Bet, for Build a Bet, and for live video streaming – five separate rulebooks, each explaining what the feature does and when it will refuse to work. Compare that with Bally Bet, which offers cash out and same game parlays but publishes no rulebook for either, and the difference in documentation is stark.

Maximum stakes are not a fixed number. The help centre explains that the ceiling is derived from the winning limits set out in the Sports Betting General Remarks, and that a betslip exceeding it will be rejected with a message asking you to reduce the stake. It is an honest answer, if an inconvenient one for anyone wanting to know their limit before they sign up.

Payment Methods

This is PartySports at its strongest. The help centre carries a dedicated page per method, and each one states its fees and – with the exception of AMEX – its timings.

PartySports help centre listing its payment methods, from AMEX and Apple Pay to Interac e-transfer and paysafecard
Ten methods, each with its own FAQ page covering deposits, withdrawals, fees and timing.
Method Fees Timing as published
Interac e-Transfer None Withdrawals credited to your bank account within 8 hours
Visa / Mastercard None charged by PartySports Deposits instant once your bank approves; credit cards may add a cash advance fee. Visa pays out only if the card was not issued in the US; Mastercard payouts are limited to some countries
AMEX None Deposits only, with no processing time published
Apple Pay None 1-3 business days; supports withdrawals, but transacts in EUR, GBP and USD only
Online Banking None 2 business days after an internal review of around 24 hours; withdrawals $10 – $5,000 USD
Bank Transfer None 3-5 business days after approval
Luxon None, either side Up to 2 business days of internal approval, then 24 hours to the wallet; minimum withdrawal 10 EUR or equivalent
paysafecard None Deposit only, and since 14 September 2021 by paysafecard account rather than voucher

Interac at eight hours is the standout, and it is the method most Ontario players will use. The USD figures against Online Banking are not a localisation slip, which is what we assumed at first. The page says it plainly: “Online Banking only supports payments from U.S. dollar bank accounts and transactions in USD currency.” The $10 and $5,000 are withdrawal limits, not deposit limits, and they are in US dollars because the method itself is. For an Ontario player banking in CAD, Online Banking is effectively not a route at all – and the same page carries a block of answers openly labelled as “specific to BETMGM US labels”, which is a fair warning about how much of it was written for this province.

Deposit limits deserve a mention because the handling is better than the norm. A request to lower your limit is processed instantly. A request to raise or remove one carries a 24-hour cooling-off period, after which you have to log in and actively confirm the new limit – if you do nothing, the old limit stays. That is the safer default, and not every operator picks it.

Geolocation

PartySports uses GeoComply, names it, and explains the method rather than leaving it as a black box.

PartySports help centre explaining that it locates players by Wi-Fi signal triangulation and IP address
Sixteen geolocation FAQs, including what happens if you cross the provincial border mid-session.

The published method is Wi-Fi signal triangulation combined with your IP address. Wi-Fi has to be switched on even if you are on a wired connection, because the check reads nearby networks rather than the one you are connected to – which is why the help centre suggests a USB Wi-Fi adapter for older desktops.

Outside Ontario you can still reach your account, but you cannot play or place a bet. The sixteen-question geolocation section covers the awkward cases honestly: being near the provincial border, an ISP that resolves to another province, moving out of Ontario mid-session, and software on your machine that conflicts with the plugin.

Customer Support

Here the picture thins out, and we would rather say so than pad it.

The help centre is genuinely substantial – 160 pages covering account, payments, geolocation, betting rules and legal terms, organised into a navigable tree, with the betting rules alone running past 27,000 words. As self-service documentation for an Ontario sportsbook it is among the better ones we have read.

The human layer is another matter. PartySports publishes no Ontario phone number, no chat hours and no reply times outside the account: the contact channels sit inside the app. Where 888sport publishes a toll-free Ontario number and its opening hours, PartySports leaves that to the logged-in experience. The support score below measures what is published, not what is delivered.

The PartySports App

Both apps exist, both are current, and both are dwarfed by their sibling.

Store Publisher Rating Ratings Detail
App Store Entain Operations Limited 4.5 206 v26.08.04, 121.9 MB, iOS 18+, updated 18 Aug 2026
Google Play ElectraWorks Limited 3.3 35 1000+ installs, updated 1 Jul 2026, rated Adults only 18+

The gap between 4.5 on iOS and 3.3 on Android is wide, but 35 Android ratings is a sample small enough that a handful of frustrated players moves the number a long way – we would not read a verdict on Android quality into it either way. The iOS requirement is worth noting before you download: iOS 18 or later, which rules out older iPhones that other Ontario books still support.

Responsible Gambling

The tools are the Entain group set, and the deposit-limit asymmetry described above is the substantive part: instant decreases, 24 hours and an active confirmation for increases. The operator publishes a safer gambling section built around its group strategy, with deposit limits, time-out and self-exclusion each documented separately.

The reasoning behind that asymmetry is worth spelling out, because it is the part most players skip. A limit you can raise instantly is not a limit at all – the moment it binds is the moment you are most motivated to remove it. Putting a day between the request and the effect, and then requiring you to come back and confirm in the cold light of the next session, is what makes the tool do its job. PartySports also defaults to keeping the old limit if you never confirm, rather than applying the increase by silence.

Ontario players also have the province-wide route, which works regardless of what any single operator offers. BetGuard lets you exclude yourself from every iGaming Ontario site at once rather than one at a time, and ConnexOntario runs free, confidential help around the clock.

Security and Reputation

There is no scandal to report and no glowing record either – PartySports is too small in Ontario to have generated much of a public trail, which cuts both ways.

What can be assessed is the paperwork, and it is in good order. The terms carry an amendment date in the heading rather than a vague “last updated”. The licensee, its company number, its registered address and its licence number are all named. The payment services company is separately identified and is Ontario-registered. The complaints escalation path distinguishes correctly between what belongs to iGaming Ontario and what belongs to the AGCO. That is the profile of an operator that has done its compliance homework, even if the marketing budget went elsewhere.

The counterweight is the localisation debt: US dollars in the banking limits. It will not cost you money, but it is a sign of documentation inherited from another market and never fully rewritten for this one.

Final Verdict

PartySports is a well-documented sportsbook with a small footprint, and both halves of that matter.

Dimension Score Why
Licence and transparency 4.5 Licence number, company number, both addresses and an amendment date, all published
Sports 4.0 Full Entain catalogue with five separately documented in-play tools
Payments 4.0 Eight-hour Interac, no fees anywhere, per-method timings published
App 3.5 4.5 on iOS, current build, but iOS 18+ and a tiny user base
Support 2.5 Excellent self-service; no contact channel published outside the app
Breadth 2.0 Sportsbook only – the casino and poker need separate accounts

Overall we place PartySports at 3.5 out of 5 for Ontario bettors.

Who it suits: bettors who want the Entain sportsbook and read the rules before they bet, Interac users who want money back the same day, system and each-way bettors, and anyone who values a licence number they can quote. Who it does not: anyone who wants sports and casino under one login, iPhone owners below iOS 18, players who want a published phone number before signing up, and anyone who would rather join the brand the group actually promotes.

PartySports FAQs

19+. Ontario only. Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24/7 from ConnexOntario: call 1-866-531-2600, text 247247, or visit connexontario.ca. To exclude yourself from every Ontario-licensed operator at once, register at BetGuard.ca.

Alternatives to PartySports

If it is the Entain sportsbook you want, take it from the brand that carries the group’s Canadian weight: Sports Interaction runs the same build on the same Ontario licence, adds a casino to the same login and has 45 times the rated user base. If published limits matter more to you than anything, bet365 sets out its cash out conditions, its Same Game Parlay ceilings and every cashier limit in Canadian dollars – no currency guesswork. And if you want a support line you can call today rather than after registering, 888sport publishes a toll-free Ontario number with its hours. And if the gap you feel is the rest of the group’s catalogue, bwin sits on the neighbouring licence, OPIG1233926, and adds a casino and a real-money poker room to the same Entain sportsbook.
