How We Checked Betinia

This review is built on primary sources, and on this brand that took an unusual route. Betinia’s Ontario site answers every connection from outside the province with a refusal, so the product evidence here comes from the operator’s own published material and from the provincial register.

• We confirmed the brand, the operator and the categories in the iGaming Ontario directory, which listed 49 operators and 84 gaming websites, accurate as of 1 September 2026.
• We read the product from Betinia’s own store screenshots, published by the operator, and we priced the game shown on its board ourselves.
• We pulled the AGCO registration number, the app version, release dates, size, age rating and review counts from Apple’s public listing and from Google Play.
• We ran the same checks against the operator’s two sister brands in Ontario, to see what is brand policy and what is company policy.
• We tested the geo-fence from outside Canada and through a Canadian connection, and captured what came back.

Everything below was checked on 4 September 2026. Where the operator does not publish a number, we say so rather than fill the gap.

Is Betinia Legal in Ontario?

Yes. Betinia holds AGCO registration OPIG1526283 and has an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario, which is what puts a regulator between you and the operator.

The provincial directory lists the brand in both the casino and the sports betting categories, so one account covers each side of the product.

The operator publishes the number itself: “Betinia is regulated by iGaming Ontario And Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, with registration number: OPIG1526283.”

You must be 19 or older and physically in Ontario to place a bet. The app carries the iGaming Ontario and BetGuard seals across the top of every screen, which is the visual marker of a registered site.

One Company, Three Ontario Registrations

The company behind Betinia runs three Ontario brands, and each carries its own AGCO registration number.

All three Ontario apps are published by Canadix Ltd., and each app listing states its own number.

Betinia carries the highest of the three numbers, which fits everything else here: this is the company’s newest Ontario brand, and its ratings sample is the smallest.

That matters for one practical reason. These are three separate registrations and three separate brands, not three doors into one account, so an account at one tells you nothing about your standing at another.

The Betinia Sites That Are Not the Ontario One

Only one Betinia site is registered to take bets in Ontario, and the provincial directory links to it: on.betinia.com.

Search the brand name with “Canada” attached and you will surface other domains using the same name and the same logo. None of them appears in the iGaming Ontario directory.

The check takes a minute. Open the iGaming Ontario directory and look for the exact site you are about to deposit into. If it is not listed, you have no recourse to an Ontario regulator over that money.

Canadix Limited holds three separate registrations — Betinia, Swiper and ToonieBet — and each carries its own OPIG number. A shared owner does not mean a shared registration, which is why looking the brand up in the register matters more than recognising the group.

Betinia Sports Betting

The sportsbook sits behind the same login as the casino, on a board built around North American leagues and priced in American odds.

The top navigation runs Shorts, Casino, Live Casino and Sports, and the sports section splits into a home view, a Live tab and an A-Z index of everything on the board.

What the Board Looks Like on a Game

Betinia navigates by sport, then country, then competition – Baseball, then USA, then MLB – which is the European layout rather than the league-first shortcut most Canadian books use.

The fixture header names both starting pitchers and their handedness: Cecconi and Slade (RHP) against Burns and Chase (RHP). That is a detail baseball bettors need and plenty of books hide a tap away.

Each market can be starred as a favourite and switched between a grid and a list view, so the layout you prefer follows you from game to game.

The Run Line Comes With a Slider

This is the most interesting thing on the board. Betinia’s run line is not a fixed handicap – it carries a slider that moves the line and reprices as you drag.

On the fixture shown, the default sits at -1.5, with the Guardians +1.5 at -145 and the Reds -1.5 at +120. Moving the slider changes both sides.

Alternative lines are common in the US market and rare in Ontario apps at this size. Having them on the main card, rather than buried in a sub-menu, is a genuine advantage for handicap bettors.

What Those Prices Actually Cost You

We converted the prices on that fixture to see what Betinia takes out of the market, which is the number that decides what you keep over a season.

Anything above 100% is the book’s margin, so 3.9% on the money line is a competitive number for baseball in this province – tighter than several bigger names charge on the same market. The run line at 4.6% is ordinary.

One fixture is one fixture, and this is the price on the game the operator itself chose to show. Read it as an indication, not as a season-long average.

Shorts: A Video Feed Beside the Book

Betinia puts a Shorts toggle in the main navigation, flagged as new, sitting to the left of Casino and Sports.

It is a vertical video feed of the kind you already scroll elsewhere, built into a gambling app rather than beside it.

Whether that appeals is a matter of taste. Worth knowing before you install: a feed designed to keep you scrolling sits one tap from your balance, and the limit tools below are the counterweight.

Cash Out, Bet Builder and the Fifteen-Cent Minimum

Betinia documents three things in its help centre that are worth knowing before you open a slip.

The minimum bet is 0.15 CAD – a genuinely low floor, and one the operator publishes rather than leaving you to find at the slip.

Bet Builder is there, described as “like a Same Game Parlay. It combines different markets from a single event and the odds from each market are multiplied.”

Cash out is there too, with a caveat the operator states plainly: “If the chances of winning are high, Cashout will be available. If the chances of winning are relatively low, the Cashout function may not be available.”

Read that twice. The tool is likeliest to be offered when your bet is winning, and likeliest to vanish when it is not.

What you will not get is video. “Unfortunately, we do not provide live streaming in our Sportsbook,” the help centre says.

Betinia Casino

The casino is the half the brand puts its name to – both store listings call the app a casino, and neither mentions betting.

The lobby filters by Providers, Top, New and Categories, and the Top shelf alone carries 325 games behind its See All link.

The titles on display are current releases rather than back catalogue – Blazing Bison Gold Blitz, Coin Strike Hold and Win, Break More Piggy Banks – which suggests a lobby being kept up to date.

A provider filter matters more than a game count. It is the difference between browsing 300 tiles and going straight to the studio whose maths you already know.

We identified the studios behind the games on display rather than take a list on trust. Blazing Bison Gold Blitz is a Fortune Factory Studios title distributed by Games Global, XXXtreme Lightning Roulette is Evolution, and Coin Strike: Hold and Win is Playson. That is a lobby buying from the tier-one suppliers rather than filling shelves with white-label filler.

Live Dealer Tables

Live Casino has its own tab rather than living inside the slots lobby, and the tables on show are the recognised ones.

Roulette and blackjack anchor it, and the branded variants include XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, an Evolution format and the studio most Ontario books lead with.

One detail is visible on the table felt in the operator’s own screenshot: blackjack pays 3 to 2. That is the player-friendly rule, and the alternative you find on cheaper tables, 6 to 5, costs you real money over time.

MEGA 11, a Fantasy Squad Inside the App

Betinia runs a fantasy football game called MEGA 11, where you build a squad, choose a kit and set a formation on a pitch.

It is a side product, not a betting market, and it is unusual on an Ontario app of this size.

If you came for the sportsbook it changes nothing. It does tell you where the brand thinks its audience is: soccer, and players who want something to do between fixtures.

Betinia Payment Methods

Betinia’s cashier splits into Deposits and Withdrawals tabs, and it publishes a minimum and a maximum per transaction against each method.

The methods on the payments screen are Interac e-Transfer, Visa, PayPal, MuchBetter and Skrill, including a Skrill 1-Tap entry.

PayPal on an Ontario book is worth flagging on its own – most of the province’s cashiers do not carry it.

Withdrawal Limits, Method by Method

These are the ceilings on the withdrawals tab, per transaction, as the operator publishes them.

The gap is the point. Interac e-Transfer is the method most Ontario players default to, and it is the one capped lowest here – a $9,000 win comes out in one Visa transaction or three Interac ones.

A $10 floor on Interac is low and welcome. If you expect to take out four figures at a time, read the ceiling before you pick your method, not after.

What the Cashier Does Not Publish

Two numbers are missing, and they are the two people ask about most.

A book that tells you the ceiling but not the wait has answered the easier half of the question. Ask on chat before your first withdrawal if timing matters to you.

The Betinia App

Betinia has a native app on both platforms, published by Canadix Ltd., and it landed a month after the brand appeared in the register.

Two things stand out. There is no iPad build – the App Store lists it as iPhone only – and 4.4 from 87 ratings is a good early score on a small sample.

A Casino Name on a Sportsbook App

Both listings call the app a casino. Neither name mentions betting.

The App Store files it under Games, ranked #54 in Casino, subtitled “Roulette, Blackjack, and Slots” – while the app itself opens on a navigation bar with Sports on it and the operator’s own screenshots show an MLB board.

If you go to the store looking for a Betinia sportsbook, the app you want is the one that does not say sportsbook.

The Store Listing Still Talks About States

The app description was not written for Ontario, and it shows.

It says game availability is “subject to state-specific rules”, tells users to make use of “state tools such as self-exclusion”, and offers “sports markets and in-play betting (if permitted)”.

Ontario is a province, its self-exclusion programme is provincial, and the registration underneath is provincial. This is American copy with a Canadian registration number added at the end.

The store also rates the app 18+ while the legal age to bet in Ontario is 19. A store age rating is not a licence condition, but the mismatch sits on the listing.

Ontario Only: The Strictest Geo-Fence We Have Met

Betinia’s geo-fence is the hardest we have run into on an Ontario site, and it is worth understanding before you travel with money in your account.

From outside the province the site returns HTTP 403 and a full-page notice: “ACCESS RESTRICTED – The project is not available for your country for legal reasons.”

The notice goes past a country check. It tells you outright: “If you’re accessing Betinia with a proxy service or VPN, try turning it off and refreshing the page.”

That is not decoration. We reached the site through a Canadian connection and were refused all the same – the block reads the connection type, not only the country it comes from. The same behaviour holds across all three of the company’s Ontario brands.

The practical read: you need to be genuinely in Ontario on an ordinary connection, and a privacy VPN you leave running out of habit will lock you out of your own account.

Responsible Gambling and the 19+ Rule

Betinia carries the iGaming Ontario and BetGuard seals on every screen of the app and publishes its player-protection tools on a dedicated page at on.betinia.com/ca/responsible-gaming.

The operator repeats the rule in its own listings: 19+, Ontario only, and you must be physically in the province to wager.

Ontario funds free, confidential help that is independent of any operator, and Betinia publishes the number itself: ConnexOntario, 1-866-531-2600, or text 247247.

Set a deposit limit before your first deposit rather than after your first bad week. It is easier to lower a limit you never needed than to set one while chasing.

Customer Support: There Is a Phone Number

Betinia publishes a 24/7 phone line on +1 (866) 503-5608, alongside live chat and email at support@on.betinia.com.

A toll-free number answered around the clock is genuinely uncommon in this province. TonyBet has no phone line at all, and DAZN Bet runs on chat and email only.

The help centre behind it is organised into eight categories, and the sportsbook section alone runs to 17 articles – the most detailed part of the whole site.

A staffed line is uncommon on this register. Most of the mid-size books publish an email address and a chat window and nothing else, which is why a number answered around the clock is worth weighing against a shallower board.

What Betinia Does Not Publish

Five things are missing from the operator’s own public material.

• The payout window. Betinia publishes withdrawal ceilings but no processing time.
• Deposit minimums and fees. The deposits tab is not public; only the withdrawals side is.
• The full terms. The rules page loads only for an in-province session.
• The catalogue and the studio list. 325 is the Top shelf, not the whole lobby.
• The card deposit fee. The help centre confirms that Visa and Mastercard deposits carry a fee, but publishes the amount on no page we could reach.

Final Verdict

Betinia arrives in Ontario properly registered, with a sharper money line than its size suggests and a cashier that publishes more than most new brands bother to.

The board is the reason to look at it. A 3.9% margin on an MLB money line, a run line you can move with a slider, and starting pitchers on the fixture header add up to a book built by people who bet.

What holds it back is age. There is no payout window on a public page, no iPad app, and 87 ratings is not yet a track record – and the store copy still talks about states, which is not the mark of a listing written for this province.

Overall we place Betinia at 3.5 out of 5 for Ontario bettors: a good board and a real cashier, on a brand still filling in the details.

Who It Suits Today

Betinia suits a bettor who wants baseball and soccer priced properly, who likes moving a handicap rather than taking the one offered, and who wants a casino on the same login.

It suits you less if you withdraw four figures by Interac, if you need a stated payout time before you deposit, or if you play on an iPad.

And if you travel, or run a VPN as a matter of habit, take the geo-fence seriously. This one is stricter than most.

Alternatives to Betinia

If the missing payout window is what stops you, two other AGCO-registered books answer the same brief in different ways.

The ToonieBet book is the closest comparison of all – the same company, a far longer ratings history, and published deposit ceilings, withdrawal limits and a stated processing window.
