iDebit Betting Sites in Ontario

iDebit Payment Method in Ontario

There are no working iDebit betting sites in Ontario. The payment service itself has gone: idebitpayments.com no longer resolves to a server, and its last archived page dates from January 2024. Two registered books still display the logo, which is the reason this page exists.

That gap between a logo and a working rail is the whole problem. A footer is a marketing asset that nobody audits, so a dead payment method can sit in one for years while the cashier behind it quietly stopped offering the option.

These are the two Ontario books that still show the iDebit logo. Both are AGCO-registered, and both take Interac e-Transfer, which is what you will end up using at either of them.

Ontario has four bank-funded rails, and on 7 September 2026 two of them work and two do not. The table sorts them by what we could verify, not by what operators advertise.

Rail What we found Ontario books still showing it
InteracInterac e-Transfer Operating normally 24 of 26
Online BankingOnline Banking Operating normally 10 of 26
InstaDebitInstaDebit Closing. Deposits ended 27 February 2026 Betway
iDebitiDebit Website offline. The domain resolves to no server Betway, NorthStar Bets

Read the last column against the second and the point of this page is in one line: the two rails you can actually use are the two nobody puts a fuss around, and the two that are gone are still on the shelf.

How We Checked This

We did not take any of this from a payments directory. Every finding below was produced on 7 September 2026, from the operators’ own pages and from public DNS.

What Happened to iDebit

iDebit stopped being reachable, and the way it stopped is unusually specific. The domain was not abandoned – it was switched off.

idebitpayments.com still has name servers at Cloudflare, so somebody is still paying for the registration. What it no longer has is an address record: both Google and Cloudflare return the domain with no A record at all, and www.idebitpayments.com returns NXDOMAIN – the subdomain does not exist.

The archive tells the same story from the other end. The Internet Archive’s last successful capture of the site is 19 January 2024, and its last capture of the consumer login is 28 February 2024. There is no closure notice in either, unlike InstaDebit, which published one.

Two other names muddy the search results and are worth clearing up. idebit.ca is a parked page – 114 bytes, a redirect to a lander, no service. And idebit.com today belongs to an American FedNow payment processor with no connection to the Canadian rail Ontario players remember.

Two of the 26 AGCO-registered books still display the iDebit logo, and both are legitimate, registered operators – the stale logo is a housekeeping failure, not a warning sign.

Betway lists iDebit ninth in its footer strip of ten methods, next to InstaDebit. The detail worth knowing is what the logo links to: not iDebit, but rebilly.com, the site of a third-party payment gateway. When the destination disappeared, the link had to point somewhere.

NorthStar’s Ontario cashier publishes its methods as two images rather than text, which is why a text search misses it. Read the image and the row is Mastercard, PayPal, Visa, iDebit, Interac and American Express.

Pinnacle is the book that cleaned up. It carried both iDebit and InstaDebit until recently; its Ontario footer today shows Interac, Visa, Payz, MuchBetter and bank transfer, and neither rail appears.

What iDebit Charged While It Was Running

iDebit charged the consumer directly, which made it unusual in a market where Interac costs nothing. Its published fee table, recovered from the last archived version of its own FAQ, read as follows.

Transaction Fee iDebit published
Create an account Free
Pay a merchant from online banking 1.50 CAD/USD
Pay a merchant from your iDebit balance Free
Merchant transfer into your iDebit balance Free
Move your iDebit balance to your bank 2.00 CAD/USD

A full round trip therefore cost 3.50 CAD before you had bet anything, against nothing at all on Interac at most Ontario books – which is a fair part of why the rail lost the province long before its website went dark.

Two other terms are worth recording. iDebit stated that withdrawn funds “should reach your bank account within 5 business days (maximum)”, and that its currency conversions carried “a premium to compensate for the currency risk”. It also required users to be 18 or older, which was never the Ontario threshold.

InstaDebit Is Closing Too, With a Published Date

InstaDebit is doing properly what iDebit did silently: it is shutting down, and it has posted the dates on its own login page. Anyone with a balance there has a deadline.

The notice reads that the last day to deposit using InstaDebit was 27 February 2026, and that customers “may still withdraw your available balance until: 30 April 2026“. Any remaining balance is sent automatically to the linked bank account after 28 days of inactivity.

InstaDebit names its own replacement, and it is the same one we would name: “For future payments, Interac remains available as an alternative payment option.”

With both Canadian online-banking wallets gone, the category has effectively closed in Ontario. What survives is the rail that never needed a wallet in the middle.

What to Use Instead in Ontario

Interac e-Transfer replaces iDebit exactly, and it is accepted at all 24 registered books that publish a cashier – far more than iDebit ever reached.

The match is close because the two do the same job. Both push money from your Canadian bank account rather than a card, both keep your banking credentials with your bank, and neither needs a credit check. The difference is that Interac has no middle wallet, no 1.50 fee and no balance to strand.

Two smaller points make the switch easier than it sounds:

  1. Deposit by the method you want to be paid by. Every registered book runs a closed loop, so your first Interac deposit is what unlocks Interac as a payout route.
  2. Turn on Auto Deposit at your bank. It costs nothing and it moves payouts from days to hours at several books – a bigger gain than switching operator.

Our Interac betting sites page has the minimums, ceilings and payout windows each book publishes.

If You Still Have an iDebit Balance

Do not expect a deadline notice, because there is no website left to publish one. If money is sitting in an old iDebit balance, treat it as a matter for your bank rather than for the sportsbook.

The route iDebit documented – log in, select Withdraw funds, wait up to five business days – requires a login page that no longer loads. Its published contact addresses were support@idebitpayments.com and security@idebitpayments.com, and we cannot verify that mail to either is still delivered.

Your own bank is the better first call. Funds that reached your bank account left iDebit long ago, and your bank can trace a transfer where a closed processor cannot.

One thing this is not: a matter for your sportsbook. A balance held at iDebit was never held by Betway or NorthStar Bets, and neither book can return money it never received.

What This Page Does Not Tell You

It does not tell you what the deposit screen shows. Ontario cashiers load only for a registered account inside the province, so a book can carry a logo in the footer while the option has already been pulled from the cashier – or, less likely, the reverse.

It also does not tell you when each book added or last reviewed the logo. Operators do not date their footers, and we report what is published rather than guessing at a timeline.

Where a figure could not be verified, this page leaves it out. That is why iDebit’s list of supported Canadian banks appears nowhere above: the page that carried it was never archived, and we are not going to reconstruct it from memory.

Other Ways to Pay in Ontario

iDebit is gone, but it was one of thirteen rails and the smallest of them. Our Ontario payment methods guide sets out every deposit and withdrawal route the 26 registered books accept, with the full grid of which book takes what.

For scale: iDebit was named for deposits by 2 of the 26 books and for withdrawals by none, which made it the smallest rail on the register even before it closed. InstaDebit, its sister service, sits at 3 of 26 and is closing too. At the other end, Interac e-Transfer is documented by 24 books for deposits and 23 for withdrawals — the only method that barely narrows between the way in and the way out. If iDebit was your route, Interac is the direct replacement: same bank account, no intermediary, and a payout route at almost every operator rather than none.
