DraftKings Ontario Review 2026: Streaming In, Fantasy Out

None published. DraftKings names no casino studio for Ontario, and its domains block every attempt to look – the section on the casino below sets out what the regulator does show.
Crown DK CAN Ltd. runs DraftKings Sportsbook, DraftKings Casino and Golden Nugget in Ontario. It is the only book here with confirmed live streaming – and the only one whose Ontario product is meaningfully smaller than the one it sells everywhere else.
How We Checked DraftKings
DraftKings is the hardest operator in Ontario to research, and the reason is worth stating up front: its own website will not let us in. Every DraftKings domain – sportsbook, casino, account pages, the plain draftkings.com – returns a 403 from Akamai’s bot management, and it does so with a Canadian connection as well as without one. That is not geo-blocking. It is an anti-automation wall, and it means the lobby and the site footer are closed to us.
So we worked around it, using sources DraftKings does publish.
One number frames everything below. Across those 445 Canadian articles, the AGCO is not mentioned once. iGaming Ontario appears in exactly one article. The word “Ontario” appears in fifteen. For a market DraftKings has operated in since 2022, that is a thin provincial paper trail.
Is DraftKings Legal in Ontario?
Yes. DraftKings appears in the iGaming Ontario register under the legal entity Crown DK CAN Ltd., which holds three registered brands.
| Brand | Registered site | Category |
|---|---|---|
| DraftKings Sportsbook | sportsbook.draftkings.com | Sports Betting |
| DraftKings Casino | casino.draftkings.com | Casino |
| Golden Nugget Casino | goldennuggetcasino.com | Casino |

Notice what is missing from that list: a provincial domain. Where BetMGM runs on.betmgm.ca and bet365 runs on.bet365.ca, DraftKings serves Ontario from the same global addresses it uses everywhere, sorted out by geolocation. There is no on.draftkings.com; the domain does not exist.
The Ontario Terms of Use are explicit that “Crown DK CAN Ltd. operates pursuant to an Operating Agreement with iGaming Ontario”, the same wording DraftKings prints in both app store listings. Play must be in Canadian dollars, and you must be 19 or older and physically in the province.
As with every operator we have reviewed here, no AGCO registration number is published. We confirmed why: the AGCO’s own page on registered internet gaming operators simply points readers to iGaming Ontario, and iGaming Ontario publishes entities and sites but not numbers. The footer of the DraftKings site, where a number would normally sit, is behind the 403.
One caveat on our own sourcing. The Ontario Terms of Use we read carry an internal date of February 2024 and were retrieved from an archived copy of DraftKings’ official URL, because the live document also returns 403. Where we quote them, treat them as the February 2024 text.
What You Cannot Do Here
DraftKings is the only major operator whose Ontario product is meaningfully smaller than its product elsewhere, and it publishes a table saying so.

Then there is the wallet. Your balance is tied to the province you were in when you deposited it. Money deposited in Alberta appears in an Ontario session as “Unavailable Funds”, and DraftKings states plainly that “funds cannot be transferred between provincial wallets”. You can always withdraw it – you just cannot bet with it on the wrong side of a provincial line. FanDuel does exactly the same thing, for the same licensing reason.
DraftKings Sports Betting
Same Game Parlay and SGPx
SGP needs at least two selections from one game, works pre-match and live, and is offered “for select leagues” only. SGPx then combines several SGPs and singles on one slip, and the mechanic that makes it work is worth understanding: an SGP, no matter how many legs it contains, is treated as a single pick inside a parlay or Round Robin.
Two restrictions are published:
SGPx works inside Round Robins. The maximum number of legs is not published anywhere – and neither is the void-leg rule for Ontario specifically: the help article says a voided leg causes the odds to be recalculated, but qualifies it with “in applicable states”, which is not a statement about this province.
Cash Out
Cash Out is offered on select sports, across pre-match, live, futures and parlays. The amount can be more or less than the stake, it lands instantly, and DraftKings says outright that “cash out availability varies and is not guaranteed”. A placed bet cannot be cancelled. The full rules live in the House Rules, which sit inside the account – so on the detail of which markets qualify, whether partial cash out exists, and whether there is an auto cash out, there is no primary source, and this review will not invent one.
NFL BetVision: Streaming That Costs a Bet
This is DraftKings’ genuine edge in Ontario, and it is confirmed for the province in writing: “BetVision is accessible in all United States jurisdictions where DraftKings Sports betting is available and Ontario, Canada.”

Two conditions apply. You must place a bet on the specific event to access its stream. It is app-only – there is no desktop streaming. The stream stays open even if your bet settles before the game ends.
That makes DraftKings the only operator in this group with confirmed in-app live streaming in Ontario. bet365, FanDuel and BetMGM publish nothing about streaming here at all. The catch is the scope: only the NFL is documented. Coverage of any other sport is unconfirmed.
The Casino, and the Studios Nobody Names
DraftKings publishes no casino supplier list for Ontario, and its casino domains return a 403 to any datacentre address, Canadian proxy included. There is no public lobby to read studio names off. The help centre has no searchable rules library, and the Canadian App Store listing promises “exclusive slots and blackjack games you can’t find anywhere else” without saying who builds them. That is the whole published record.
What the regulator does show is the corporate shape: three brands registered with iGaming Ontario under one entity – DraftKings Sportsbook, DraftKings Casino and Golden Nugget Casino, the last of these a brand DraftKings acquired rather than a supplier. The sportsbook runs on DraftKings’ own platform.
Payment Methods
The Ontario cashier is the narrowest we have measured, and DraftKings publishes a table of what is switched off.

| Method | Deposit | Withdraw – min / max |
|---|---|---|
![]() |
Immediate | $1 – $10,000 |
![]() |
Immediate | $1 – $60,000 |
![]() ![]() ![]() |
Immediate – Amex credit only | $1 – $25,000 |
| Cheque | Not available | $15 – $50,000 |
![]() |
Not available | Not available |
Three ways in – Interac, PayPal and cards – and that is the whole list. No online banking, no wire transfer, no gift cards, no cash. bet365 offers seven deposit routes; BetMGM offers eight or more. American Express is accepted, but on credit only, and Discover is on the list too – the only Ontario cashier we have seen that takes it.

Withdrawals, Including the Cheque Nobody Should Choose
| Method | Published time |
|---|---|
![]() ![]() |
Under 24 hours |
![]() |
1-3 days |
![]() |
1-2 days in one article, 3-5 days in another |
| Cheque under $100 | 7 to 14 business days, by Canada Post, untracked |
| Cheque $100 – $1,999 | 5-7 business days, FedEx tracked |
| Cheque $2,000+ | 3-5 business days in the cheque article, “up to 3” in the timings table – FedEx tracked |

Card payouts under 24 hours is a genuinely good number – better than FanDuel’s two to five business days and matched only by bet365 among the books we have measured.
The cheque tiers are the opposite. A payout under $100 goes by ordinary post, untracked, and can take fourteen business days – close to three calendar weeks. It cannot be sent to a P.O. box, it cannot be expedited, and cancelling a lost cheque takes another two to three business days. The smaller your win, the worse you are treated.
Four process rules are worth knowing before you deposit:
No minimum deposit is published in any of the 445 Canadian articles. The “$5+ Interac” figure that circulates is a condition of withdrawing by Interac, not a deposit floor.
Customer Support: A Callback, Not a Phone Number
There is no published telephone line. The route in is a chatbot, which opens a case, and from there Ontario customers get something most provinces do not.

“If you’re a US or Ontario, Canada based Sportsbook and Casino customer, you can also request a callback via the Chatbot.” Ontario is one of only two named jurisdictions. That is a real channel to a human voice, even if you cannot dial in yourself.
Email is support@draftkings.com, X support is @DK_Assist, and the help centre footer states support is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Live chat exists but is conditional – DraftKings’ wording is that “for expedited service requests, Live Chat may be offered”, with a message form as the fallback. We are not going to describe that as guaranteed 24/7 live chat.
The postal address for support is in Boston, Massachusetts.
The DraftKings Apps
| App | App Store (CA) | Google Play (CA) | Requirements |
|---|---|---|---|
| DraftKings Sportsbook & Casino | 4.7 from 17,205 ratings | 4.8, 5M+ installs | iOS 16.2, 339 MB |
| DraftKings Casino – Real Money | 4.7 from 6,079 ratings | Listed | iOS 16.2 |
DraftKings is the only operator in this group whose Android rating is higher than its iOS rating – 4.8 against 4.7 – and the gap between the two is a rounding error rather than a chasm. Set that against BetMGM’s 4.6 on iOS and 3.7 on Android and it is the most consistent cross-platform experience in the province.
The publisher on both stores is DRAFTKINGS LLC. / DraftKings, Inc. – the American parent, not Crown DK CAN Ltd., the entity registered in Ontario. The description says so as well: “DraftKings is a US company with headquarters in Boston, MA.” As with FanDuel, you cannot cross-check the Ontario entity through the app stores.
Responsible Gambling and Limits
The tooling is solid and the Ontario terms add one clause that goes further than most.
| Tool | Options |
|---|---|
| Deposit limits | Daily, weekly, monthly |
| Loss limits | Daily, weekly, monthly |
| Wagering limits | Daily, weekly, monthly, and per maximum single wager |
| Cool off | 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, 2 months, 3 months |
| Self-exclusion | 6 months, 1 year, 5 years |
| BetGuard | 6 months to 5 years, across every Ontario operator |
Limits can be tightened at any moment; loosening one means waiting out the current period. A cool off cannot be shortened once set – “DraftKings isn’t permitted to shorten that period” – and during it you cannot log in at all, with withdrawals handled only through monitored assistance. Self-exclusion applies everywhere DraftKings operates, not just where you set it.
The clause that stands out is in the Ontario terms: if you self-exclude province-wide, DraftKings will cancel all pending bets within 24 hours of being notified and refund the stakes. Most operators let pending bets run to settlement. And DraftKings reserves the right to impose stricter responsible gaming limits than the ones you set yourself.
BetGuard is documented properly, including the detail that an extended protection period may continue after your chosen term unless you actively opt back in. The BetGuard line is 1-833-776-7171. Accounts are treated as dormant after three years without a login, though you keep the right to recover your balance.
Security and Reputation
Final Verdict
DraftKings gives Ontario a smaller product than it gives everywhere else.
What you get is the best cross-platform app in the province, card payouts inside a day, the only confirmed live streaming here, and a callback channel that names Ontario explicitly.
What you get with it is three deposit methods, no fantasy sports, no pools, a cheque tier that posts small payouts untracked for a fortnight, and a rulebook nobody outside the app can read.
| Category | Score | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Legal | 3.5 | Properly registered, but almost no Ontario-specific documentation |
| Sports | 4.0 | SGPx and BetVision, but the House Rules are unreadable |
| Payments | 3.0 | Fast cards, but only three ways in and a 14-day cheque |
| App | 4.5 | 4.7 on iOS and 4.8 on Android, the most consistent pair here |
| Support | 3.5 | Callback for Ontario, but no direct line and conditional chat |
| Responsible gambling | 4.5 | Full limit set, plus pending bets refunded on self-exclusion |
Overall we place DraftKings at 4.0 out of 5 for Ontario bettors.
Who it suits: NFL bettors who want BetVision, Android users, and anyone who wants their card payout the same day. Who it does not: desktop bettors, anyone who banks by online transfer, and readers who want to check the rules before they stake.
DraftKings FAQs
- Is DraftKings legal in Ontario?
Yes. DraftKings is listed in the iGaming Ontario register under the legal entity Crown DK CAN Ltd., covering three brands – DraftKings Sportsbook, DraftKings Casino and Golden Nugget Casino. Unlike most operators here it uses no Ontario subdomain; it serves the province from its global addresses. You must be 19 or older and physically in Ontario, and all play is in Canadian dollars.
- Does DraftKings have live streaming in Ontario?
Yes, for the NFL. DraftKings confirms that BetVision is available “in all United States jurisdictions where DraftKings Sports betting is available and Ontario, Canada”. Two conditions apply: you must place a bet on that specific event to open the stream, and it works only in the app, not on desktop. No other sport is documented, and no other operator we have reviewed publishes any streaming for Ontario.
- Why does money I deposited in Alberta show as unavailable?
Because your balance is tied to the province you were in when you deposited it.
- How can I deposit at DraftKings in Ontario?
Three ways: Interac, PayPal and credit or debit cards including American Express on credit only. DraftKings marks online banking, wire transfer, gift cards and cash as unavailable in Canada. Every withdrawal method also requires a prior deposit by that same method.
- How long do DraftKings withdrawals take?
Cards are published at under 24 hours and Interac at one to three days. PayPal is given as 1-2 days in one article and 3-5 in another. Cheques are the outlier: under $100 they go by ordinary post, untracked, and can take up to 14 business days; between $100 and $1,999 it is 5-7 business days by FedEx, and $2,000 or more up to three.
- Can I play Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings in Ontario?
No. DraftKings states that “our Fantasy Sports platform is no longer available in Ontario”, and Pick6 and Pools are unavailable here too. Ontario gets the sportsbook, the casino and Golden Nugget Online Gaming, and nothing else.
19+. Ontario only. Gambling can be addictive. Free, confidential help is available 24/7 from ConnexOntario: call 1-866-531-2600, text 247247, or visit connexontario.ca.
Alternatives to DraftKings
If the three deposit methods are the problem, bet365 publishes seven ways in and six ways out, with every limit and processing time stated in Canadian dollars. If you want to telephone someone rather than wait for a callback, BetMGM publishes a number – as do BetRivers, Caesars, 888sport, NorthStar Bets and PowerPlay – and it runs a poker room besides.
