Single-Game Betting in Ontario

Single-game betting has been legal in Ontario since 27 August 2021, when Bill C-218 changed the Criminal Code. You can bet on one game at any of the 34 sportsbooks registered with iGaming Ontario, on OLG’s PROLINE+, at a lottery counter or at some casinos, from age 19 online.

That means the result of one game – the Leafs to win their next game, the over in a Raptors game, a Blue Jays run line – instead of being forced to combine several games into a parlay.

This page explains what changed, where and what you can bet, and the one number that makes a single bet better value than a parlay: on the same NHL games, a single money line cost 2.5% to 6.8% in book margin across 15 Ontario books, while a four-leg parlay costs around 17%.
