Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of sportsbettinginontario.ca. In short: this is an independent information site for adults in Ontario, it takes no bets and holds no money, everything here is research rather than advice, and the operator’s own current terms always outrank anything we publish about them.
Who We Are and What This Covers
This website is published by Gambling Digital Marketing, a company based in Lisbon, Portugal, referred to below as “we” or “us”. By reading, browsing or otherwise using this site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
We are not a gambling operator. We do not accept wagers, hold player funds, process deposits or withdrawals, settle bets, or operate any game. Every bet described on this site is placed with a separate company registered with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, under a contract between you and that company to which we are not a party.
Age and Location
This site is intended for people who are 19 years of age or older and located in Ontario, Canada. You must not use it if you are under 19.
Registered Ontario operators are required to verify your age and identity before accepting a wager, and to confirm that you are physically inside the province at the moment you place it. An account may be managed from elsewhere, but a bet cannot be placed from another province or country. If you are in a jurisdiction where online sports betting is restricted, the responsibility for complying with your local law is yours.
Information, Not Advice
Everything on this site is published for general information. It is not legal, financial, tax or professional advice, and it is not a recommendation to gamble or to open an account with any particular operator.
Betting is a form of entertainment with a negative expected return. No article, rating, comparison or ranking on this site should be read as a prediction of an outcome, a suggestion that any result is likely, or a strategy for making money. We do not sell tips, we do not publish guaranteed systems, and we do not claim that any operator will make you a profit. Decisions about whether to gamble, with whom, and with how much are yours alone.
Accuracy, and the Limits of It
We take accuracy seriously and describe our sourcing openly on our About page: reviews are built from operators’ own published Ontario documents, help centres, sitemaps and the public register, not from press releases or other review sites.
Even so, this is a market that changes without notice. Payment methods are added and withdrawn, limits and fees move, apps are rebuilt, terms are rewritten and operators occasionally leave the province. A figure that was correct when we verified it may be wrong by the time you read it.
Where this site and an operator’s own current documentation disagree, the operator’s documentation governs. Check the cashier, the terms and the help centre before you deposit. We publish this site “as is”, without warranty that its content is complete, current or error-free – and if you find a mistake, please tell us so we can correct it.
Affiliate Links and Commercial Relationships
We have commercial relationships with some of the operators covered on this site and may be paid when a reader registers or deposits through our links. This does not change what you pay or what the operator offers you.
Editorial independence is a condition of how we work, not a courtesy: ratings, rankings and review wording are decided before any commercial consideration, and no operator is given approval over what we publish about it. Books we earn nothing from are reviewed to the same standard as those we do. This disclosure appears in the footer of every page and on our About page.
No Bonus or Promotional Content
Ontario’s Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming prohibit advertising gaming inducements, bonuses and credits to the general public. Accordingly, this site does not publish welcome offers, bonus comparisons, promotional codes or any similar inducement, and nothing here should be read as an offer of one. Any offer you see is made by the operator, on its own channels, on its own terms.
Third-Party Websites
This site links to operators, regulators and support services. Those sites are outside our control and we are not responsible for their content, availability, terms, privacy practices or security. A link is not an endorsement, and following one means the destination’s terms and privacy policy apply instead of ours.
Intellectual Property
The text, structure, original research, tables, ratings, screenshots and design of this site are our property or licensed to us, and are protected by Canadian and international copyright law.
You may read, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link to the page you took them from. You may not copy, scrape, republish, translate, resell or use this site’s content for commercial purposes without written permission, and you may not use automated systems to harvest it. Operator names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here for identification and editorial purposes only, which implies no affiliation or endorsement.
Acceptable Use
When using this site you agree not to interfere with its operation or security, not to attempt unauthorized access to any part of it or its infrastructure, not to introduce malicious code, and not to use automated tools to scrape or overload it.
Where comments are enabled, you are responsible for what you post. Do not post anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, misleading, promotional, or intended to encourage a minor or a self-excluded person to gamble. We may edit or remove any submission, and may withdraw access, without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on its content. That expressly includes gambling losses, losses caused by an operator’s act or omission, losses arising from a change to an operator’s terms, bonus conditions, limits or payment methods, and losses arising from any inaccuracy or interruption on this site.
Your relationship in relation to any wager is with the operator, not with us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud.
Complaints About an Operator
We cannot resolve a dispute between you and a sportsbook, but Ontario has a defined route and it is worth knowing which door to use.
Start with the operator’s own complaints procedure, which registered books are required to publish and to answer within their stated timeframe. If that fails, the escalation splits by subject:
- iGaming Ontario – unresolved transaction and service disputes, such as a payout, an account closure or a settlement you believe is wrong.
- The AGCO – responsible gambling concerns, advertising and marketing standards, and game or event integrity.
- ConnexOntario – free, confidential support for gambling harm, 24 hours a day.
Before any of that, confirm the operator is actually on the iGaming Ontario register. A site that is not listed there is not registered in this province, and none of these routes will be available to you.
Responsible Gambling
Registered Ontario operators must offer deposit limits, time limits, loss limits, cool-off periods and self-exclusion, and they must make those tools available before you need them rather than after. Self-exclusion with some groups extends across every product that group runs, online and in physical casinos.
If gambling has stopped being entertainment, stop and get support. It is free, it is confidential, and it does not require you to give your name.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them or from your use of this site. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms when the site, the law or the market changes. The current version is the one on this page, and the date at the top of this page records the last substantive change – we do not re-date a page that has not changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
